Mark Heathcote biography

Mark Heathcote is the Executive General Manager of PIPA – the peak industry body representing the suppliers and manufacturers of plastics pipe in Australia. He has been with PIPA since 2005 – initially as Technical Marketing Manager and since 2009 as Executive General Manager. He is a Scientist with a background in manufacturing, materials specification and NDT before entering the pipe industry in 1990. Since moving to the pipe industry he has been involved in capital works, asset management and condition assessment of metal pipelines before recognising the advantages that plastics offered and is now focussed on promoting the benefits of all plastics pipe options. In his role at PIPA he has significant involvement with major stakeholder groups across the pipe industry and he maintains an active involvement in the technical program of the industry.
