Lance MacNevin, P.Eng.
Lance MacNevin is the Director of Engineering for PPI’s Building & Construction Division (BCD) and Power & Communications Division (PCD). He is responsible for the coordination of research, development of technical documentation, regulatory affairs, industry outreach, education, and communications activities of both divisions. Lance earned his BSc.Eng. (Mechanical) from the University of New Brunswick (Canada) in 1992. He has been in the plastic pipe industry since 1993, working for a manufacturer of PEX piping systems for 22 years as a product development manager, codes and standards specialist, and manager of education programs.
In 2015, Lance joined PPI. He is a member of ASHRAE, ASME, ASPE, ASTM F17, AWWA, CIPH PIAC, CSA B137, B214 and C448, IAPMO, IGSHPA, NEMA, RPA and UL, serving on technical committees with these organizations. He is Chair of IAPMO’s Uniform Solar Energy & Hydronics Code Technical Committee and Vice Chair of CSA B137 for Thermoplastic Pressure Piping Systems. He served on the Organizing Committee of PP XIII in 2006.
